Different Types of Absorbents
Sorbents come in many different forms and types. There are pads, rolls, socks and booms. There are also many types of granular sorbents These are then classified as Oil-only or Universal. Oil-only is designed to recover oil in preference to water. Universal will absorb aggressive liquids such as acids and bases as well as gasoline, water-based fluids and alcohol. Ways to Use Absorbents
Use an oil only boom or pad on water to absorb and contain an oil spill without taking on water. Top a chemical drum with a universal pad to capture spillage.
